Murfreesboro, TN – Two industry-leading tax and accounting ﬁrms, Jobe, Hastings & Associates and Hall, Davidson & Associates, are merging, oﬀering clients an exceptional experience unmatched in the Rutherford County market. This new partnership will move forward under the Jobe, Hastings & Associates brand.
“I was interested in bringing Hall, Davidson & Associates into our ﬁrm because their philosophy and method of caring for clients is so similar to ours,” explains Jimmy Jobe, Managing Partner, JHA. “We both believe in providing the highest quality services and treating our clients with the respect and attention they deserve.
Since 1986, Jobe, Hastings & Associates (JHA) has been providing quality professional services and advice to help their clients maximize their ﬁnancial well-being. David Hall launched his public accounting practice 63 years ago, and Hall, Davidson & Associates continues to be an industry leader. In this merger, Hall, Davidson & Associates (HDA) brings a wealth of tax practice experience which will complement the JHA experience. Combined, the HDA staff has over 190 years of experience in public accounting. With the complexity of the ever changing tax code, the merger of these experienced teams allows a collaboration that oﬀers clients even greater tax savings and planning opportunities.
While both ﬁrms separately oﬀer similar services, they have unique experiences. “When combined, we will be able to see even more opportunities to beneﬁt our clients,” explains Jobe.
“Our newly merged staff will also augment our accounting services department which provides small business bookkeeping, payroll services, accounts payable services, Quickbooks assistance and training, and other tax reporting services.”
During this time of unprecedented growth, Jobe, Hastings & Associates is also proud to announce the promotion of two of its CPAs to Partner: Charles J. Forrester and Andrew J. Nickerson.
Charles J. Forrester, CPA, CSEP earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002, and joined Jobe, Hastings & Associates in 2003. He became licensed as a Certiﬁed Public Accountant in 2008 and is a member of the American Institute of Certiﬁed Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. In his current role at the ﬁrm, his responsibilities include business and individual tax preparation, accounting services, and ﬁnancial statement attest services. He was awarded the designation of Certiﬁed Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) in 2015. Jared is married to Lacey and they have 4 children. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, and enjoys tennis and outdoor activities.
Andrew J. Nickerson, CPA also earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University, graduating Suma Cum Laude, and joined JHA in 2004 as a staff accountant. He became a Certiﬁed Public Accountant in 2007 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Tennessee Society of CPAs. Drew has extensive experience in audits of governmental entities, not-for-proﬁts, nursing homes, and HUD ﬁnanced entities. He also has a broad experience in the areas of grant compliance and single audits, tax services, and has been involved in many special consulting projects for a variety of entities. Drew and his wife, Mary Beth, have four children. He has assisted in coaching various sports teams in which his children participate, is active in the Murfreesboro Young Professionals, a member of the Tennessee Government Finance Oﬃcers Association and is an active member of Christian Life Church where he has led small groups and is a member of the media team.
